Any well run dog park must have a set of rules designed to protect the dogs, humans, and grounds. Since this facility is a City park, the Raleigh Parks and Recreation Department has set the rules governing use of the dog park. Friends of Millbrook Dog Park volunteers work in the park to help dogs and people become accustomed to using the park as well as help to ensure that all park visitors are aware of and follow the rules.
Daily hours of operation are from sunrise to 10:00pm.
It shall be unlawful for any person in charge of a dog to fail to remove feces deposited by the dog on publicly owned property (City Code Sec. 12-3011[b]).
The above rules are specific to the dog park and posted at each of the dog park entrances.
There are also other rules which govern general behavior in any City of Raleigh park such as the climbing of trees is not permitted.
